Been thinking about this for a while now. Gone AWOL on my Tumblr, been quiet for the most part on my Facebook, just a few basic tweets from time to time.
All these platforms have their merits and then their downsides, but at the end of the day i'm just craving to write and sadly the aforementioned social media sites can be quite intolerant of expression that's not built around the norm or the strengths of that particular site.
Case in point : Tumblr is great for sharing pictures, but interaction is limited plus there's tons of kiddie crap there. Twitter is the savior of the random fleeting thought, but that's just as long as you keep within 140 characters. Facebook is good for just about anything, but the people there are quite intolerant of constant updates. Pen and paper would've sufficed - and it does, really, for the most part - if only there isn't a part of me that demands an audience.
More than i'd like to admit, "I've got a story to tell, why keep it to myself?" has been a constant thought on recent journal entries.

So here goes the blog that's been long planned, dreamed of, agitated over, finally put into actuality. Guess old school wins this one.
