Fan Girl is Hopping on the Bulls Bandwagon

With the Lakers out of the race for the NBA championship, i'm imploring the basketball gods to at least give me something to cheer about this postseason - after all a fan girl must not stop loving basketball just because her team is out right?

So what better way to get me out of bed early in the morning and to bring a smile back to my face than to have my 2nd and 3rd favorite teams still in it to win it. I'm talking here about the Chicago Bulls and the Oklahoma City Thunder of course, given my personal loathing for Lebron and the obvious grudge with Dallas.

We all know that the Finals this year won't really get that much attention outside the usual basketball enthusiasts - the Bulls-Heat series is THE series-  but I still want to see an OKC-Bulls Finals just so I can witness a little bit longer 3 of my top 5 favorite players (Kobe, Rose, Wade, Westbrook, Durant) in the league do what they do best.

This guy in particular, Mr. MVP himself is such a treat to watch in the court with the way he can take over any game as quickly and as skillfully as his amazing crossovers.

Derrick Rose is crazy good and that is why i'm shamelessly joining the Bulls bandwagon this postseason especially in this series against Miami.

Truth be told, I was hoping for a Lakers-Bulls finals because then I would have been completely fine if the Lakers lost (hmm, well maybe not) because it seems like the perfect setting and time for Kobe to hand down the torch to Rose who is set-up to take over the void in that huge chunk of my heart for basketball that Kobe will leave once he retires from the league. And c'mon, that will be a far far bigger Finals series than any of the possible match-ups at the moment.

Putting all of that aside though, what really tips me over to Rose's side is his down to earth personality and deadpan humor that just makes him a very likeable player and person. Adorable even if you'd ask me as you can see in this video, Mamba vs Pooh, for an NBA 2k10 promo.

Derrick Rose: "i didn't even get to the second round".

It's your time, baby.
